Building permaculture bridges in Kenya

Text and photos by Kipper, SONED - Travel (Project) report Kenya 18.02.-17.03.2020

Exactly 31 years after I started my first trip to Africa at Diani Beach, south of Mombasa, I have now started this trip again, this time accompanied by Sonja. The reason for this was a wedding invitation to Kisumu and the long-cherished wish to visit some Kenyan project partners, to exchange ideas and to explore opportunities for cooperation. In the short term we have received funding from the Schöck Family Foundation.

National Permaculture Convergence (Britain)

September 11-13, Oxfordshire, England.
Bringing about positive change can be hard work. It's important to make strong, lasting connections with people who share our hopes and concerns for the future.
The convergence is about encouraging people from all across Britain to come together as a community of designers, educators, learners and activists putting permaculture at the heart of a network of thriving communities.

Spanish Convergence in July

23d until the 26th of July

This year, the yearly Spanish Permaculture Convergence will be held in a special place, the eco-village Lakabe. Lakabe can be found in the North of Spain, in Navarra. 40 years ago, on the 21st of March 1980, it was an abandoned settlement which was foundagain by a group of people with a Vision. Today, they are living that Vision and about 40 people live in this regenerated, self-contained community.
