Katka Horackova

Since the 1990s Katka spent years WWOOFing and volunteering in farms, gardens and community projects. She also lived off-grid on a vegan community run garden/sustainability project for 10 years. This gave her invaluable experience before taking a full PDC course in 2010 in Sieben Linden with Tomas Remiarz, Sandra Campe and Cathrine Dolleris. Since then she has been teaching short specialized courses on seed-saving, plant-propagating, herbalism, garden-design, self-sufficiency, gives public talks and consultations. Introduction to permaculture courses with Katka are always focused on the audience and combined with some practical experience.
Since 2013 she has been involved with the Czech permaculture association - Permakultura(CS)- and organised several international courses with teachers from abroad - Tomas Remiarz, George Sobol, Rakesh. Since 2015 she also teaches PDC course in a team of teachers. She teaches Forest garden courses, Herbalism and Seed-saving courses, and Introduction to permaculture in English language every other year in Czech Republic.
She attended (and organised) the Training of Teachers in 2016 with George Sobol and in 2024 with Tomas Remiarz.

She is a member of the European Permaculture Teachers network (since 2011 i guess) and since 2020 is a chair of Permakultura(CS), Czech permaculture association. www.permakulturacs.cz/english
